the sad reality of all this is thats everyone is right here, cos the dudes who grew up listening to PROPER HIPHOP, still listen to those dudes cos they are relivent to them. i.e. nas, jay-z, rakim, etc.... and then you got this new Hip POP, where dudes are now growing up listening to this, and in a few years wen suttin new comes along they will be sitting in the same seat trying to defend someone stupid like gucci mane.

not saying theres no new real hiphop artists coming up cos there is, like jay electronica, termanology, nipsey hussle, etc... even drake to some extent.

i think you get my point.

What is funny... ppl like to say the new school is not making "bad" music, which if you believe Gucci Man creating a song called, "Lemonade", is anything creative and lyrical or lemme just say has substance plz put me up on game, I cnt see how partying 24.7 is gonna get me thru losin' my brutha or a child thru abortion, seriously. I was just givin' examples not to say that those things haven't happened to me. But, we have too much bullshit hittin' tha mainstream, meaning radio and on BET & MTV, seriously.

I mean, KiD CuDi, he's Hip-Hop but more Hip-Pop-ish to me. I like him regardless, cuz he makes good music. Lil Wayne, on the other hand he makes shit that is "relevent" which is bullshit. For example, "Every Girl", which it's Young Money's record but he's behind it 100% and of course he's on it. And for a record like that to be on tha radioi then tha follow up single, "Bedrock". We are showing our youth it's cool to have sex for real. My 11yr old brother was listening to that song and I'm like why you like that song. And he gon' say he dnt know why. So, I asked him do he know what it's talking about. He said yes, but my problem with that whole conversation is not that he knows what they are talkin about but more than less that shit of that topic is for ppl who are over tha age of 17yrs old for that it's content is for a more OLDER audience and not tha youth under 17. And for them to like it it isn't right to me. For that it can influence things of that nature that isn't right. Which is why our young girls out here are pregnant at tha age of 11-13yrs old, smh.

I be damned if I let my daughter listen to some bullshit like that for real around me. She may listen to it on her own but when she do she'll know that I dnt allow her to listen to such nonsense but she will know the difference tween wrong and right too. It's her decision to do the right thing. The music for these times are not that far-fetched of the 90s seriously. But too I have a bit of a prob with that too. My thing is, nothing that has a message or being positive or having something to say shouldn't get noticed, that's me. And of course, coming frm a guy who likes 50 Cent. Yup, but I know the difference between bullshit and real shit, real talk.
